Take a look at this sweetie pie of a face:

Meet Beau, a 2-yr old Shepherd mix with the most endearing personality! He’s named Beau because a volunteer thought him a most perfect Southern gentleman. Indeed, he is very gentle and polite, but he can be very social (he loves other dogs) and is eager to play (and learn).
He loves long walks on the dog trail, running around in exercise pen, and look at you constantly to make sure he is doing the right thing. Because of some uncertain handling in the past, he is a little unsure of new people at first, especially what they expect of him, but with some consistent training he warms up very easily and trusts easily. He would love to have someone to teach him all the good things in life and enjoy them too.
Here are a few more pictures of him:

Look at how handsome I am!

Hi! I would be so happy to meet you!

PBBTTT. Who’s crazy enough to take pictures of me drinking water???

Sniff…sniff…what’s that? Smells like a treat to me!
If you’re interested in seeing Beau in person, you can contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or visit the shelter at 2117 E. Club Blvd., Durham, NC. He resides in kennel 43.
