This is Dixie, a 3? 4? months old lab/shepherd mix puppy. You may have seen her before in another blog entry, when she was part of a 3-puppy litter. Her siblings have went to good homes, and Dixie is still looking for a home to call her own.
Dixie has come a long way from when I first started working with her- around mid-February. For example, she was very shy and unsure.
But now? Look at how confident she’s gotten!
Dixie knows ‘sit’ and ‘down’ and would love to go to puppy school so she can earn more treats! She loves food treats and prefers them over toys. She started leash training and walks beautifully- she sits when you stop, and goes into a very patient ‘down’ when she thinks you’re standing for a long time and not going anywhere.
Dixie also LOVES bellyrubs and would probably enjoy chewing on a bone at your feet while you read. Here’s a video example:
