Featured Dog: Fiona- ADOPTED!

for this week leading up to Valentine’s Day, I’ll post a dog everyday…maybe one of them will be your valentine! (Remember there is a special Valentine’s Day event at the shelter inviting you to visit the shelter this Saturday, from 10 to 3 pm.)

Are you looking for a small sweetpea? Meet Fiona, a 2-3 yrs old pit mix with beautiful brindle markings. I call her coat “the chocolate truffle kind” 🙂 She’s very small for her breed– we call them “pocket pits” 🙂

As you can see, she loves being a lapdog, being near you, and getting lots of ear scratches. She’s quite gentle in accepting treats, very affectionate (her kisses are soft and sweet), and playful. In fact, she always seems to be in the right frame of behavior in any situation– polite, aloof (around other dogs), playful, quiet.

She would love to be an only dog, but might be ok with polite, more sedate dogs. If you’re looking for only one companion in your life, she’s the right dog for that.

Fiona lives in Kennel 38.
