Featured Dog: Blanca- ADOPTED!

for this week leading up to Valentine’s Day, I’ll post a dog everyday…maybe one of them will be your valentine! (Remember there is a special Valentine’s Day event at the shelter inviting you to visit the shelter this Saturday, from 10 to 3 pm.)

Blanca is a very pretty dog– besides being white furred all over, she’s got lovely mascara lined eyes which seems to extend her lashes when she closes them. She’s approximately three years old, a little shy but warms up easily when you indicate that you want to be her friend.

Blanca has beautiful eyes

She’s a little small on the side for a pit mix, but she’s quite gentle and loves going for a walk, being near you, being cuddled, and maybe having a spot of mischief (the whole jumping-on-the-bench thing was unintended– she hadn’t seen it before and was trying to figure out how to get closer to me!).

Blanca looks out

As you can tell below, she really enjoys sunshine and good head rubs. She’s very willing and very settled, and thus is a Gold Star dog, that is, can be placed anywhere, and would be excellent with children.

Won’t you give this beautiful girl the love and home she needs?

Blanca lives in Kennel 33.
