Featured Dog: Duncan-ADOPTED!

If you’re searching for a dog, why not pick one that is considered the state dog of North Carolina, the Plott Hound?

Meet Duncan, a Plott Hound mix with a very gentle personality! While some of his ancestors might have hunted boar and bear, he’s more interested in looking at you with big soulful eyes of his and hunting for a warm, soft lap where he will always be welcome.
Duncan the lapdog!

We don’t know much about his past, and he initially was very scared and unsure of himself, and is still sensitive to major changes and loud noises in his environment, but with kind care, he’ll blossom to one of the nicest, best dogs anyone could have. Not to mention loyal- Duncan has quickly become a volunteer favorite!

Duncan is a handsome boy

He loves other dogs- in fact, he will often invite them to play. He would make an excellent second dog if your first dog is a relatively confident, older dog who is willing to serve as a role model and show Duncan the ropes.

Won’t you give this sweet boy a chance? Duncan lives in Kennel 40. For more information contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org.
