Featured Cat: Romeo – ADOPTED!

I was all set to do a puppy Friday, except I got distracted by this lovely fluffy orange cat in the volunteer’s office. It’s hard not to notice Romeo- he’s pretty much a walking orange marmalade halo. He loves people and gets curious about them.

romeo enjoys a scratch

He loves them even more, though, if they scratch under his chin. And then scratch behind his ears, and keep scratching until he gets that oh-so-hard-impossible spot somewhere between his ear and chin scratched. Add some loud purring in the background and you have Romeo in a nutshell. It’s hard to imagine that this cat first came into the shelter very ill and covered in fleas (he’s now quite healthy and has beautiful hair.)

and more behind the ear, too

He gets along very well with Thomas, the other cat residing in volunteer’s office, and generally considers him an excellent napbuddy. If you are considering two cats, consider these two together– they never fail to bring a smile to my face when I see them together.

Come see this beautiful cat– he’s waiting for someone to love!
