Looking for a great way to support your local animal rescue organization AND treat your dog (and possibly yourself) at the same time?
Come buy a pup pop or pupsicle (either one is fine!) at your local Locopops or if you’re in Hillsborough, at Matthew’s Chocolates, starting next week (after 3/20/10). (For directions, go to the end of this post)
For those who don’t know, a pup pop/pupsicle is a frozen meaty broth popsicle with a rawhide stick (yep, the whole thing is edible), made exclusively for dogs, and comes in two different flavors, chicken and beef.
All proceeds from sale of pup pops/pupsicles will go towards the following animal rescue organizations:
Animal Protection Society of Durham
Orange County Animal Shelter
Coalition to Unchain Dogs
Wake County SPCA
Last year, we raised nearly $5000 from the sale of pup pops- that’s quite a lot of toys, food, bedding, medicine, and other necessities for the care of homeless cats and dogs in the Triangle.
Also, check out more pictures at PupPops Flickr group. If you have photos of your dog enjoying pup pops that you’d like to share, you can email them at firstname.lastname@example.org or add them to the PupPops Flickr group!
