Featured Dog: Waldo – ADOPTED!

Waldo is one of those older dogs that I wish my 60-something dad would have. He’s small (therefore easier to lift in case of emergencies), a gentle walker (he’s not too fast, but not too slow), and best of all, he’s incredibly sweet and loves being near you. He’s about 3-4 years old, and looks mostly like a Boston Terrier while having a strip (yes, a strip) of wiry hair down his back (the rest of him is very smooth) and decidedly smaller boston terrier body (more like a chihuahua.) But he certainly doesn’t have a Boston terrier energy (though he likes to play with toys), and he’s content with walks and blissful petting and treats.

I like to think of him as a gentleman who’s always elegantly dressed and is ready for everything.

If you’re looking for a smallish, low-key dog who will make you smile and is snuggly, come see Waldo in Kennel 39. For more information on Waldo, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.

We would like to inquire about Waldo. We have a 5 year old greyhound in need of a buddy. She loves other dogs, so we have been looking for a cool, small dog who will have the right personality to fit with our family. Do you have any information about how Waldo is with children? We are expecting a baby in December, so we definitely need a dog who is good with children. Also, does he have an alpha dog personality or does he seem to go with the flow when with other dogs?

We would possibly like to set up a day and time to meet him, so just let me know what we need to do.
