Featured Dog: Cody – ADOPTED!

This sweetie in the grass is Cody, a brindle pit/hound mix puppy who’s around 6 months old. He looks extremely shy and submissive, but don’t be fooled by his passive demeanor. Inside, he’s a dog who’s very eager to please, and given enough time, will build his confidence nicely with gentle and positive training.

He loves people (I can imagine him being an ambassador) and is very affectionate– give him a chin scratch, and he’ll respond with little kisses. He also gets along with other dogs, and would make an excellent second dog with an older, wiser canine sibling in the household.

Cody can be very playful, and I suspect he will be fine with toys once he’s more settled. He’s also excellent on leash, never pulling, and always looking back to see what you want him to do. He’s going to make a very good pupil at obedience school.

If you are interested in seeing Cody, come visit him in Kennel 13 out. For more information on Cody, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.
