Featured Dog: Katie – ADOPTED!

Katie

This is Katie, who’s not really frowning with her eyebrows- it’s just that she can’t help her colorings! She seems to be a mix of beagle and jack russell terrier, though she doesn’t have the extreme personality of one or the other (probably due to her age– she’s at least five years old).

Katie

She was quite pleasant to walk- not too fast, but not too slow (beagles are notorious for stopping to sniff everything in their paths). She knows ‘sit’ and is very attentive when you talk to her (she’s a great listener) and when you stop, she stops too, either walking or whatever it is she’s doing. In our case, she stopped when I stopped walking and halfway twisted her body for a semi- belly rub. She enjoys being petted and you can tell she would not mind being pampered and adored 😉

Katie

My favorite part about Katie is that she always smiles at me when I walk past her in her kennel and it would be great to come home to a face like that. She’s a fully grown adult dog with a very mellow personality and doesn’t need much other than a nice walk and lots of bellyrubs. So if you are looking for a calmer, easygoing dog, come meet Katie in Kennel 14. For more information, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.

I’m not sure, but I’ll refer you to our dog coordinator who may be able to answer your question.
