Puppy Friday: Vernon – ADOPTED!

Vernon

This is a special little guy named Vernon. He’s a 4 months old hound puppy and of all puppies I’ve interacted with he’s one of the more trainable ones. He has normal puppy energy but also has very good self-control; when you give him a treat, he pays attention and remembers that he’s supposed to sit.

Vernon

The only giveway of his puppy energy is his always wagging tail! He is very, very focused and already knows ‘sit’ and ‘down’ and almost ‘roll over.’ He’ll be a star pupil at obedience school, and he would probably enjoy learning new tricks as time goes.

Vernon would be an excellent second dog because he gets along with other dogs and is very playful (he absolutely loves his toys and will play by himself!). He would be great in a family with older children (he wouldn’t know who to play with first!). He’d also get along well with active folks — he’d probably enjoy running or exploring.
