Puppy Friday: Cameron – ADOPTED!

You ever wonder what an ideal dog in the summer would look like? How about this?

Cameron

Ears flying in the wind, running in the sunshine over freshly mowed grass, ball in mouth, pure joy emanating out of your pores…that’s Cameron, your quintessential goofy 6-months old lab/pit puppy.

It’s a big change from his initial APS photo, when he was quite timid and too scared to come out of his kennel. He and I had no problems walking about, and he followed me without hesitation, knowing that treats and fun were about to come. We took a short walk in the shaded hiking area, and then went to the outside exercise pen to romp around in the grass. Boy, did we have a lot of fun…

Cameron
“More? more? more!”

Cameron
“Not your normal backyard garden ornament.”

Cameron
“see, i know sit.”

Cameron
“pick up the ball and throw it for me!”

Cameron
“huff”

Cameron
“I got it!”

Cameron
“whew! that was quite a game of fetch.”

Cameron
“I love sunshine!”

Cameron
“boy it’s hot out.”

Cameron
“I think I’ll find some shade.”

Cameron
“how ’bout this one?”

Cameron
“anybody home?”

Cameron
“one last run before I go back.”

Cameron
“and one big smile for all the folks who love me!”

So that’s Cameron for you! He’s food motivated, loves his balls, and gets along with other dogs, though he can be a little too overenthusiastic (i.e. if he’s a second dog, the other dog must be able to tolerate his behavior).
