Puppy Friday: Geneva – ADOPTED!

Meet Geneva, the future Top Model. Oh wait, you have to be human to win, don’t you? That’s such a shame, because Miss Geneva is quite good at the windblown look (note the ear) and getting the “eyes” right (Tyra Banks would be so proud!).

Maybe she’ll be Miss NC Dog…oh wait, she’s already a NC state dog- she’s a Plott hound mix.

She’s around 4-5 months old and still has some growing to do, but she’s a very mature puppy. She walked very calmly with me, and while she didn’t like hot dogs, she made sure she spat them in the opposite direction of where I was standing 🙂 She really does have great manners- she sat, even if she didn’t like the treats, and she was extremely attentive and focused. She’s a true Southern lady.

In fact, she’d be a star pupil at obedience school. Not only that, she loves everyone she meets, people and dogs. She can be a little overexcited with other dogs, and would be best placed with a settled male dog, but she’d be great at the dog park once she gets past the puppy stage.

If you are interested in Geneva, please come visit her in Kennel 15.
