Featured Dog: Orlando – ADOPTED!

Orlando is a beautiful 1 year old Catahoula mix who arrested me with his gorgeous eyes when I walked past him. I hadn’t a chance to interact with him until now.

I have to admit, though, that walking is not one of his strongest points– running might be, though. He also loves his toys and running around with them, so he would be a great dog for someone who loves to run. I also got the impression that while he loves people, he would really like just one person he can work with and call his own. He’s very much one of these dogs who will do well with a consistent routine and exercise.

He’s also excellent with other dogs- he kept seeking them out- and would probably be a great companion to an already active dog who would love a playmate.

Orlando is more motivated by toys than food (unusual, but it does happen), and would do very well in high-energy tasks like agility (he can be very focused). He has very long legs, but he’s very graceful.

If you are interested in Orlando, please visit him in Kennel 30. For more information on him, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.
