Featured Dog: Elmer – ADOPTED!

Herman & Elmer

There was once a pair of stray Pekingnese dogs, a set of brothers named Herman and Elmer. They got along with each other very well, and comforted each other, and were always happy to see a pair of volunteers to walk them.

Herman found a home, but Elmer’s still there. Like his brother, he’s very much social (he has never met a person he did not like!), affectionate, food motivated, and loves to seek warm laps.

He’s about 4 years old, which means he doesn’t ask for much- a roof over his head, a cushy lap, plenty of food to eat, nice long walks where he can do his business. In turn, you get a delightfully fluffy kisser who’ll adore you forever. It sounds like a pretty good deal to me! Also, if you live in a small space and can have only one dog, he would be a great choice since he is unsure around other dogs and is a toy-sized breed (smaller than a bed pillow!).
