Featured Dog: Lulu – ADOPTED!

Lulu

Meet Lulu, a petite 2-yrs old Chihuahua mix who doesn’t really look like your typical Chihuahua. She looks like a miniature hound and I had to keep reminding myself she wasn’t a puppy. I don’t think you have to worry about Lulu looking old- it looks like she’ll keep her looks for years!

Plus, she’s so adorable when she’s earnest.

One thing that prevents her from looking too serious is the presence of white socks on her paws- how cute are they?

Miss Lulu isn’t just a charmer in the looks department, though. She’s food motivated, and as you can tell from photos, she already knows ‘sit.’ She’s also extremely social- she tried to run up to everyone we met and lick their face, even the dog techs that most shelter dogs are normally afraid of. She’s also no sloucher in the athletic department- she loves to play fetch and runs around with the toy in her mouth.

She would be a great jogging companion and would probably love to go to agility classes (those short legs are an advantage!). However, she can be bossy with other dogs, so she would be best placed as an only dog, or with a mellow, low-key male dog who puts up with her antics.
