Puppy Friday: Winston – ADOPTED!

Oh hello there. Are you ready for some serious puppy cuteness? Because Winston, a 2-3 months old basset hound mix, can really turn the cute on.

Just look at his long ears, his thick paws, and of course, those infamous basset hound eyes. Oh, those eyes. In case you have not had enough of them:

Then there’s this look:

It is going to require some considerable amount of self restraint not to give in to him and give him all of your treats. Especially since he’s already so well behaved- I’m not sure if basset hounds can actually do a ‘sit’ since they are so low to the ground, so I just focused on having him look at me every time he wanted a treat.

I think he did just fine. I also think he’s going to do very well during training, and that he’s going to be a very fun puppy to train, cuddle, and play with. He lives with his brother, Willard, and he gets along very well with other dogs. So if you are looking for a very happy, energetic, active puppy companion for your adult dog, Winston would be a great choice.

If you find Winston irresistible like most of us volunteers do, please come see him in Kennel 41. For more information on Winston, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.
