Featured Dog: Loretta – ADOPTED!

Loretta is one of these dogs that you pass by because she’s really, really quiet in her kennel. She may even look sad, and most days, it takes a lot of coaxing to get her out of her kennel.

However, she’s not shy at all- she LOVES (and I mean LOVE in all capital letters) dogs and people alike. All you have to do is to take her outside and watch her blossom into a social, confident, and “totally awesome” dog (another volunteer’s words). She’s about 18 months old but seems much younger when she plays!

A confession- I haven’t been able to get really good photos of Loretta only, but I’ve been able to take photos and video of her playing with Morley (Kennel 22). This just confirms my belief that she’d make an excellent second dog, especially if you need a more energetic dog to encourage your own dog. And of course, Loretta would be thrilled beyond belief to have a playmate AND a family.

a happy, goofy picture of Loretta.

Loretta is the one on the right- such athleticism!

Loretta is the one on the left- she’s trying to coax Morley into playing (it was his first walk!).

See? She’s very good at encouraging Morley!

Loretta wins this round…but not for long!

Loretta & Morley
Like most dogs, Loretta enjoys the traditional game of “my mouth is bigger than yours!”

I believe Morely is giving Loretta an eyeroll 🙂

Loretta & Morley
“Can we play one more time? Please? please?” (Loretta is the one lying down)

Two tired but happy dogs. Loretta is the one in front.
