Featured Dog: Wilbur – GBNF

Wilbur is a cute, older lab/basset hound mix who’s about 6 years old. All he really needs is a nice retirement home where he can get the attention he deserves- he’s more into people than other dogs.

At first, Wilbur may seem no-nonsense – he walks with a sense of purpose and may seem impatient with you if you don’t know the way- but he’s really very affectionate (he likes to be near you) and absolutely adores butt scratches. Seriously- if you think Wilbur is just turning his back on you, he’s not– he’s just asking for a butt scratch.

Because Wilbur is older, he’s pretty low-key (though he likes to play with toys) and doesn’t require a lot of attention or training (though he _is_ food motivated, which will help with additional training). He’s chewed through our softest toys and does better with hard-surface toys (Kongs, for example).

He would love to be an only dog in a single person or family household, preferrably with someone who doesn’t mind giving out butt scratches. 🙂
