Featured Dog: Cassie – ADOPTED!

Cassie

This is Cassie, and she is a big sweetheart. And by big, I mean, she is literally big. She can probably match the heights of purebred German Shepherds. She’s most definitely got some German shepherd, with something else, like collie thrown in.

Cassie

See those paws? They are huge!

Cassie

Awww….the pawtitude!

Cassie

Now, when you first meet her in her kennel, you may not recognize her, because she tends to bounce off the walls in her kennel and jump like crazy. You’d never believe that this girl is going to be the best-mannered dog you’ve ever walked (I know I was skeptical and then was pleasantly surprised).

Cassie

Cassie already knows ‘sit’ and ‘down.’ She may know more tricks, but I’m not sure what they are…yet. She walks beautifully on a leash for her size, never pulling, and she always looks back at you to see if you want her to do something (or these days, to see if you have treats on offer). She would probably pass all of obedience classes in one day- that’s how smart she is- and would maybe require some additional exercises (agility? geocaching?) to keep her busy, because I have a feeling she gets bored pretty easily.

Cassie

Fortunately, she loves toys, and maybe some of the more brainy dog toys will help her. She plays an excellent game of fetch and would probably enjoy being your running partner.

Cassie also gets along with other dogs, and would probably be a great second dog! She especially would love to have another canine to play with.

Cassie

If you like big dogs who are trainable and polite and loveable, please consider Cassie and visit her in Kennel 33.
