Featured Dog: Willard – ADOPTED!

Willard

Meet Willard, a beautiful boy with lovely eyes! He’s about 1-1 1/2 year old, and has come a long way. He came into the shelter originally as a cruelty case and was emaciated (although you wouldn’t guess it from his new svelte shape). He’s been here for several months, and he’s finally ready to go to a home of his own where he’ll be loved and be given all the butt scratches he want.

Willard

Yep, you heard right, butt scratches. He’ll melt into a puddle at your feet, starting with leaning on you, then getting you to sit with him, and then, finally collapsing in happy delight. Willard has a talent for curling up into a perfect circle, and I think he’ll probably put that to good use when he finds a lap big and accommodating enough for him 🙂

Willard

Other than that, Willard loves to play fetch and is very food motivated (he does a nice ‘sit’ like the perfect gentleman that he is). He’d love to go to obedience classes and the dog park and just anywhere you go- he loves everyone and everybody!

Willard

Just look at that big smile– isn’t he such a good boy?

Willard

He is ruggedly handsome, no?

Willard

Yep, he is.

Willard

I believe that’s an eyeroll. Okay, Willard, you get a treat and I’ll get on with the show.

Willard

If you would like to meet this endearing boy, please visit him in Kennel 26.
