Featured Dog: Eve – ADOPTED!

This fun-looking dog is Eve, a 2-year old Rat Terrier mix. When I first met her, she was very shy but was willing to let me pet her, and seemed to like it when I carried her in my arms, even though she shivered the whole time. Right now? She still loves being in my arms and having her belly rubbed or being kissed and of course, she is a complete lapdog, but she’s not so afraid of the world.

I have to say that Eve loves to be petted and held- in fact, I think it should be a requirement for her. She particularly loves it if you sit in the sunshine with her, because then she can warm her belly in the sun.

After she soaks up the ray, she thanks you by licking your hand. Aw. Isn’t that sweet of her?

Eve also is very food motivated, and she does an excellent sit, though she can look rather goofy at times.

There’s that tongue. And sometimes dogs perk up at treats by smiling, but she uses her ears to uhm, their fullest effect.

(Yes, Eve, I know you’re listening.) That should convince you that she’s a very attentive girl, and often, when you walk her, she looks back at you to see if you hopefully have another piece of hot dog or a belly rub for her.

It also appears that she is quite playful, especially with her toys. So Eve’s idea of a dream home would involve lots of warm laps where she can be properly pampered, lots of snuggling, plenty of treats, and fun toys for her to play with.

If you are interested in this dainty little girl, please come visit her in Kennel 4.
