Puppy Friday: Sally – ADOPTED!

I do not have many photos of Sally, a sweet 4-5 months old shep mix, but I hope this conveys how wonderful Sally is. She’s past the crazy manaic puppy energy stage, and while she’s cautious about new situations and can be shy, she really, really perks up when there are toys or balls on offer. We spent a good chunk of the time playing fetch.

Sally would do very well as a second dog- she’d probably gain some confidence watching her canine sibling, but she could also do very well as an only dog, provided she gets a lifetime supply of toys and balls and a big yard. She also loves to cuddle and holds still while you hug her- I have a feeling she might be a great therapy dog, given her amazing level of self-control– she’s calm and reserves her energy only for playing and fetching.

If you are interested in this gentle girl, please come visit her in Kennel 23. For more information, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.

How large will she be? I have a decent sized yard, but it is not fenced yet. I also work during the day, so that is of some concern to me in having a pet. Suggestions?

I’m not sure how large she’ll be. Probably anywhere between a full grown hound to a german shepherd. As for other inquiries, I have forwarded you to our dog manager who can help you.
