Featured Dog: Sadie -ADOPTED!

I’ll be honest. I don’t think any of these photographs do Sadie any justice in terms of her personality. She looks very tough, intimidating, and has a lot of teeth. The truth is that Sadie is really a sweetheart, has no mean bone in her body, and LOVES to be petted. The other thing is that she’s a lab/pit mix, but her coat is a silvery shade of gray, and sometimes it makes her invisible!

Sadie is about 3 years old, and is actually a little anxious and submissive, but she’s working on it (she certainly wasn’t anxious with me! she wanted me to stop taking pictures so that she could get some heavy petting from both hands, not just one!). She already knows ‘sit’ and is very food motivated, so she would love to go to obedience classes (it’s never too old to go 🙂

She seems to be fine with other dogs, but would be best placed with a younger male. She loves her toys and is very playful, and would love to have other canines or humans who are similarly inclined.

We will be fostering Sadie so we’ll have a report on how she does in a home, as well as how she interacts with another dog (an older female), 2 cats, and teenage boys.

Sadie has an adoption pending, so she’s going to get the forever home this wonderful – and beautiful – girl deserves!
