Featured Dog: Trey – ADOPTED!

Meet Trey, a 2-3 years old Beagle who looks very young for his age!

He’s a little unsure of himself at first, but really perks up when he realizes he’s going for a walk. In a typical beagle fashion, he’ll sniff around, but walks at a nice pace (he won’t stop every 5 seconds. He’s a very efficient scent-skimmer!)

He even likes to play with toys and will play a game of fetch as long as he doesn’t get too tired.

He is very food motivated and while he knows ‘sit,’ he’s so gentle and pleading that I couldn’t resist treating him while he was partially on my lap.

Don’t worry, I did get him to sit for treats- I just never got to take decent photos of that!

Because Trey is a little unsure of himself, I think he likes it when folks are very nice to him, whether with food, toys, or petting. When he feels comfortable with someone, he certainly likes being near them.

If you are interested in Trey, please come visit him in Kennel 20. For more information, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.
