Featured Dog: Duncan – ADOPTED!

Duncan

This handsome fellow is Duncan, an adult hound mix. He’s basically *the* big dog that everyone loves.

Duncan

Despite his size, Duncan doesn’t pull on the leash or jump on you- in fact, he’s a very good walker and walks at your pace and looks back at you quite often.

Duncan

He really is a well behaved gentleman, isn’t he? He even knows ‘sit.’

Duncan

Duncan also has a big smile for everyone! I’m reasonably sure he knows he’s supposed to smile for the camera. 🙂

Duncan

He also seems to get along with dogs- there was one following us closely on our walk, and he did not lunge at all, though he did stay still for a bit and moved on when I asked him to. He responds really well to whoever is leading him/giving him treats, and I think he’d be just fine in obedience school.

Duncan

What lovely golden eyes you have, Duncan!

Duncan

Duncan also loves to be petted. He might be too polite to be a lapdog (he’s aware of his size) but he may rest his head on your lap.

Duncan

He also loves to play fetch with his toys- you can’t tell his face in the photo below- but it really is him.

Duncan

Apparently, Duncan had so much fun on his walk that he hated going back to his kennel. Before I left, he gave me a big kiss. Awww, he’s such an affectionate boy.

If you are interested in Duncan, please visit him in Kennel 10.
