Featured Dog: Daisy – ADOPTED!

Meet Daisy, a 2-3 years old hound mix. She’s definitely an autumn dog- doesn’t her coat match the fall leaves nicely?

You’d never guess from the photos that she’s actually a little shy, but you can also tell she warms up easily.

Part of it is because once I showed Daisy a toy, she went “Aha! I know this!” and started playing. We had a really nice game of fetch, though she is fine playing by herself (as long as that squeaker is still working!).

So after that play session, Daisy was reassured that her needs were being met, and we proceeded to do a little bit of training. She already knows ‘sit’ and probably would like to learn more.

She also gets along with other dogs, and would make a great second dog. I can also see her being a very affectionate lapdog (with head on your lap) after some time.

If you are interested in this beautiful girl, please come see her in Kennel 14. For more information on Daisy, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.
