Meet Eliza, a 1? 2? year old-ish Boxer/Shepherd mix.
Don’t be put off by that look- she looks a little frowny and dubious at first.
And a little unsure, though she likes to be petted.
That cautious look is going to turn into a big grin very soon, because we went for a long walk and then played twice in exercise pens.
Ready for that big smile?
See? I told ya! Eliza absolutely loves toys and playing with them- you don’t even need to throw them for her. She does this very silly but funny looking gallop.
Before I show you the action shots, I thought I’d let you know that Eliza knows ‘sit’ and despite all that energy, has wonderful self control (once she gets to play for a while).
She’d make a terrific running/jogging partner, and probably a dog park dog (I don’t know yet if she gets along with other dogs).
Coming at you!
She tosses her toys forward and then tries to catch it!
Look at them shepherd ears!
She’s got it, just by the ear!
“Does this make my mouth look big?”
Starting a gallop!
Then there’s that game of pretend tug…
She decides she has to show off. 🙂
“You done taking enough pictures yet?”
And my personal favorite…
Look at that air!
I also made a video of her playing, in case the photos weren’t enough.
