Featured Dog: Odessa – ADOPTED!

Odessa

This little one is Odessa, who is actually 1- 1 1/2 years old. She looks like a beagle/pit mix and is a nice smallish size (probably under 25 lbs!).

Odessa

To say that Odessa is a sweetheart is an understatement. She walks beautifully, knows ‘sit’ and is very attentive. She kept looking back at me when we were walking, and it wasn’t always for treats.

Odessa

Odessa is also very social- she adores people and comes up to them wagging her tail. She isn’t pushy and doesn’t force people to pay attention, but she will come up to them and ask them very politely if they would love her, too.

Odessa

Besides, it is hard to resist when she looks up at you like that.

Odessa

Odessa is not much for toys, but she gets along with other dogs very well, and may play more with them. She would make a wonderful second dog or as a first dog.

Odessa

Finally, the best part of Odessa is that she loves bellyrubs and asks for them (in fact, she does a sit, take treat, and then plops down for a bellyrub routine).

Odessa

Can you tell she rather enjoys it?

Odessa

“More, please.”

Odessa

“Do I look cute?”

Odessa

“Can we do this forever?”

Here’s a video of Odessa enjoying a bellyrub:
