Featured Dog: Penelope – ADOPTED!

This is Penelope, a very silky 7-8 months old lab/pit mix.

She’s a little cautious, but she’s getting used to the good life of long walks, romps in the grass, plenty of squeaky toys, and of course, yummy treats!

As you can see, treats go a very long way with Penelope!

She is still working on her ‘sit’ — we’re focusing on eye contact right now, as she is a little submissive. But she would love to go to obedience school because it would build up her confidence!

She also likes other dogs, and would make a great second dog. In fact, the presence of another dog might actually help her with her shyness.

Penelope is also very endearing in the way she says “please.” You can tell she tries her best.

If you are interested in Penelope, please come visit her in Kennel 40.

We will be fostering Penelope so we’ll have an idea of how she works in a house with 2 cats, an older dog, and teenage boys.
