Featured Dog: Dorothy – ADOPTED!

This beautiful girl is Dorothy, a 4-5 years old beagle/basset mix.

She is currently a little worried about her surroundings (particularly inside the shelter) but really comes out of her shell when you walk her outside.

Like most beagles, she likes to sniff and explore every five seconds.

But she likes food treats, too. You can use them to coax her to move to new places, or to win her affection.

If you’re lucky, she may give you a little kiss, and it’s the best kind of kiss because it’s well-earned (even if it is obtained with food bribes!)

Dorothy may do well with other dogs if they are very polite and gentle (like her). She’d probably do very well in a patient beagle-loving household.

If you are interested in Dorothy, please come visit her in Kennel 9. For more information on Dorothy, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.
