Featured Dog: Tanner – ADOPTED!

Tanner

This earnest little puppy is Tanner, a lab/hound mix who’s 4-5 months old.

Tanner

As you can see, he knows how to sit properly on a bench…

Tanner

…and on the ground. He’s very food motivated and would love to go to obedience school.

Tanner

He’s also one of the more relaxed puppies I’ve met- his primary talent seems to be cheerfully chilling out with you until it’s time for food or walks.

Tanner

Tanner does a good job of looking cute while lounging around…

Tanner

… Or maybe he just knows what to do in hot summers.

Tanner

Such as lying in shade and moving as little as possible (maybe on your porch or patio).

Tanner

Don’t worry, he knows when it’s time to play. He just doesn’t see the point of overexerting himself 🙂

Tanner

Or maybe he’s waiting for another dog to come by and play with him- he gets along with other dogs.

Tanner

I almost forgot one more thing! Tanner loves to give kisses any chance he can get- he’s very affectionate that way.

Tanner

One note though- Tanner is going to be big! He’s already got enormous paws.

Tanner

In short, Tanner will be a very fun puppy to train – just make sure you’ll have room for him!

Tanner

He’ll also be a great dog for anyone who understands the importance of balancing work and play.

Tanner

If you are interested in Tanner, please come visit him in Kennel 48. For more information on Tanner, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.

Tanner

Some updated photos of Tanner- he’s learned to sit in a chair!

Tanner

And he’s still a champ at ‘sit’ and looking cute!
