Featured Dog: Ella – ADOPTED!

Ella

This happy girl is Ella, a 2 years old Manchester Terrier mix.

Ella

Don’t worry if you don’t recognize her at the shelter- Ella is actually very quiet, gentle, and a little shy at first.

Ella

She walks very nicely (doesn’t pull on the leash) and can be businesslike. But when you take her to exercise pen (or in your case, a nice big backyard) and offer her a toy, Ella becomes a completely different dog!

Ella

She turns very playful, and loves a good game of fetch.

Ella

You can see the joy in her face afterwards!

Ella

I am not sure if Ella gets along with other dogs- she doesn’t seem to mind them, but given her quiet personality, I think she’d prefer to be an only dog who gets pampered with treats and toys

Ella

If you are interested in Ella, please come visit her in Kennel 9. For more information on Ella, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.

We will be fostering Ella right after Labor Day weekend, so we’ll see how she does in a house- and if she gets along with cats.

Ella is a wonderful little dog- she’s settled very nicely into our house. Completely house-broken and kennel-trained, she is friendly to every person and animal see meets. And she loves our two cats! She’s cute and laidback, and has some fun playful times as well.
