Featured Dog: Hazel – ADOPTED!

Meet Hazel, a 1- 1 1/2 years old Shepherd mix.

She’s a very pretty girl- a bit smaller than your normal shepherds, but still very graceful and intelligent. Like most shepherds I’ve met, she takes some time to warm up to you, but when she does, she’s a very happy girl.

She likes long walks and sniffing around, but when you pause to pet her, she stays very still and is very calm and patient.

Hazel would be a great dog for those who are looking for more mature dogs with the advantages of a younger age. The fact that she’s very attentive and eager to learn new things is a big plus for her future training.

If you are interested in Hazel, please come visit her in Kennel 14. For more information on Hazel, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.

I failed to ask if Hazel has been spayed. If not, how much do you charge?

    Please let me know.

If you adopt a dog from APS, they have to be spayed before they leave the shelter. The price is included in the adoption fee. This month of October only, the adoption fee (which includes spaying) is $65.
