Featured Dog: Tulip – ADOPTED!

Tulip

Meet Tulip, an adorable 2 year old lab/sharpei mix.

Tulip

She’s been at the shelter since September 2012, but she’s still very patient. A lot of volunteers have fallen in love with her unique combination of gentleness and dog smarts.

Tulip

Yes, dog smarts. According to her foster dad, she seems to know how to be in a house, to live with another dog, deal with cats and small children.

Tulip

She is also a champion walker- she knows what to do and knows where to go if there is a regular route.

Tulip

She’s also food motivated and loves to be petted. She would be a great dog for someone looking for a relatively low-key dog or is a first time dog owner.

Tulip

Tulip is currently in foster care. For more information and/or inquires about Tulip, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.

I was wondering if you could tell me a little bit more regarding what it would be like to have her? Is she a barker? How much exercise does she need? Is she okay if she is left alone for short periods of time? Would she be happy as an only dog? Or maybe what type of owner you think would be ideal for her? Sorry, lots of questions.
