Featured Dog: Athena – ADOPTED!

Meet Athena, a pretty pit mix under a year old.

She can be initially shy, but warms up nicely to friendly greetings and to treats. As you can see, she knows ‘sit’ and is very food motivated, making her highly trainable.

Athena’s true love, though, is playing with toys. She will easily entertain herself with toys for hours.

She would probably love agility/flyball classes in the future.

For now, she still enjoys a good game of fetch and running around.

Her ideal home would consist of a large fenced in backyard, lots of toys and lots of love!

She would also probably make an excellent running partner for an active person or family.

I do not currently know if she gets along with other dogs, but I’m guessing she would also love to play with them if they are equally playful.

If you are interested in Athena, please come visit her in Kennel 32. For more information on Athena, please contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org or leave a comment below.

We want her so bad! We aren’t moving into our house till the end of April though and we will have a fenced in yard and we have a very hyper beagle mix she would love to play with! I hope she is still available then, she’s beautiful!
