Featured Dog: Martha – ADOPTED!

Martha

Meet the beautiful Martha, a 2-3 years old pit mix.

Martha

Her personality is more like a lab’s, though- she loves everyone and everything!

Martha

She is very food motivated, and already knows how to ‘sit’ for a treat.

Martha

She’s very adorable when she tilts her head…

Martha

or wags her tail.

Martha

…or sitting on benches like a champ. Here, she’s looking at another dog or person — more likely her favorite volunteer!

Martha

Martha gets along with other dogs and can be very polite to them.

Martha

However, her most endearing feature is how playfulness.

Martha

Martha loves toys…

Martha

and does really silly things with them (like this “toy? what toy? oh, this thing I just stepped on? that’s not a toy! that’s a uhm… squeaky thing!”).

Martha

She likes it when you throw toys for her so she can play a game of fetch.

Martha

But once she gets a toy all to herself, she does this wiggle dance-roll (pardon lack of her modesty):

Martha

Martha

Can you tell she’s quite happy/pleased with herself?

Martha

Martha

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dog release so much joy…from one small toy. Just imagine what would happen if she got a basketful of them! 🙂

Martha

Bliss, probably.

My goodness, what an absolutely stunning dog! I would adopt her in a second if our current pup wasn’t so anxious around young/high energy dogs. I hope she finds a wonderful home that can give her all the love and playtime she deserves. Also, in general, thanks for your blog chronicling the many wonderful APS pups. It always brightens my week!
