Featured Dog: Wanda – ADOPTED!

Wanda

Meet Wanda, a very cute and sweet one year old pit mix.

Wanda

She is actually a little shy…

Wanda

…but you can tell she tries very hard to come out of her shell.

Wanda

Fortunately, Wanda is very food motivated, and that helps her confidence, as well as improving her trust of people.

Wanda

She already knows ‘sit’ and would love to go to obedience classes.

Wanda

Despite her looks, Wanda is actually very gentle. She doesn’t pull at leash, and walks at a very nice pace.

Wanda

Even better, Wanda loves to snuggle.

Wanda

She likes being on your lap and is perfectly fine sitting next to you watching the world go by (or in our case, watching the sun go down).

Wanda

Wanda also gets along with other dogs, and I bet she’d love to have a confident, yet gentle canine companion to help her get settled.

Wanda

It is a testament to Wanda’s gentle and loving nature that she has become a favorite of staff and volunteers here at the shelter. When I walked her, they all said hello and gave lots of encouragement.
