This very winsome dog is Trevor, a handsome 7-8 months old Plott hound mix.
Trevor will impress you right off the bat by showing off his ‘sit’ skills.
He’s incredibly food motivated and would love to go to obedience school to learn new tricks.
He’s smart too- during our walk, he knew what benches were for (schmoozing) and liked to climb up ramps. Perhaps he would like agility in the future?
We did not have time for playing, but he is reported to be a big fan of toys and chasing a ball. Clearly this is a dog who knows how to be a proper dog. 🙂
Another thing about Trevor that was difficult to photograph was the fact that he was a very snuggly dog! Remember when I said he knew what benches were for? In fact, he’d jump on them and lean next to you and you would feel compelled to give him a nice tummy rub or a back stroke.
In return, Trevor likes to give kisses of gratitude. Seriously, he’s one of the nicest dogs I’ve met.
If you are interested in Trevor, please come visit him in Kennel 15. For more information on Trevor, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a comment below.
Updated 4/5/13: More photos of Trevor, who continues to be the snuggliest and smartest dog I’ve worked with…
He now knows how to jump up and down from a bench! (Very useful if you’ve ever had to ask dogs to get off the couch or bed)
He is SO a lapdog.
Happiness, for Trevor, is a bellyrub in the sun.
He might have dozed off once…
He says he was just closing his eyes in bliss, not sleeping. Sure, whatever you say, Trevor. 🙂
Hah! Now he’s sticking his tongue out at me…
“Look, lady, I was awake all along!” Yup, Trevor can be a goofball.
I think it’s safe to say this is Trevor’s favorite position in the whole wide world.
As is this…
“So when are you gonna come and visit me so I can sit on your lap?” -Trevor
