Puppy Friday: Violet – ADOPTED!

Violet

Meet Violet, a 4 months old lab/pit mix with fabulous ears!

Violet

She’s a very smart (and attentive) pup who is ready for obedience school. Most dogs we work with know to pay attention and to at least ‘sit’ for a treat, but when I whipped out the camera (which is most definitely not a treat), Violet immediately snapped to attention and sat.

Violet

This was even more surprising because Violet had been running back and forth playing with a toy, acting like your typical energetic puppy. But as soon as she saw the camera, she dropped everything and sat on her butt, awaiting instructions.

Violet

So I guess you can expect her to be a star pupil at obedience school 🙂

Violet

Violet also likes to play fetch and understands the game. However, if you have treats in your hand, Violet will just watch you throw the toy and look patiently at you. Apparently, she understands that fetching a toy is pointless if I’m going to give her a treat anyway in the end. I told you she was smart!

Violet

Training Violet should be very, very fun, though I’m sure she’ll try to outwit you 🙂

Violet

Violet gets along with other dogs, especially if they are energetic and like to play.

Violet

As you can see, Violet also likes to make you laugh. 🙂
