Featured Dog: Rupert – ADOPTED!

This handsome gentleman is Rupert, a Plott hound/Carolina dog mix who’s under a year old.

Despite what this goofy photo shows, Rupert is truly a gentleman.

He walked beautifully on a leash (I was expecting him to be a runner, but he didn’t run at all and never once pulled on the leash).

He has quite the handsome profile, don’t you think?

I don’t have photos to show it, but when I sat on the bench, Rupert came to me,  and got a nice pat on the head.

It didn’t stop there- Rupert is a leaner, and he sat and leaned against my lap as he got a bellyrub!

Rupert may not know ‘sit’ – but it didn’t matter as he had perfect manners. For example, he clearly understood that leash-walking was a time of calm, while being in an exercise pen meant he could run around and chase toys.

And oh boy did he love to chase toys! Rupert’s playful and goofy side really comes out when he’s chasing stuffed toys.

He was quite pleased with himself afterwards!

So if you are looking for a friendly, well-behaved dog with good looks who will reward you with lots of affection and love, please consider Rupert.
